It seems like Mobinnova Beam is prepping a new mini laptop/smartbook called the Mobinova Elan. This 8.9-inch device is the first laptop to use the MID platform based on NVIDIA Tegra. The Mobinova Elan packs an Nvidia Tegra chip that powers a slick 3D interface and able to play 720p HD video for 10 hours using battery power. What’s more, it’ll also be running Windows CE and not Windows 7 or XP. Interesting to see if it uses CE as its visible OS or just behind the scenes. Some users will doubtless try to install regular Windows programs, since it looks like XP. The prices haven’t been leaked yet, but it seems that will be officially launched at the CES 2010.
