Now iiView has rolled out the iiView A2 12″ mini laptop in the United States, working under Windows 7. As many have already said, its design mimics that of Apple’s MacBook Air. The iiView A2 is a 12-inch netbook which features 2GB DDR2 RAM, 320GB HD. Inside the iiView A2 is an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz CPU. The iiView A2 netbook also features an HDMI port. Other features on the iiView A2 netbook include Wi-Fi (Draft-N), Webcam and 6-cell battery good for three hours. This 12-inch model will retail for $399 with Windows 7, from October 22nd.
Weight and size reduction, while improving performance, is a good direction for mini laptops to go in, the NEC VersaPro VS-7 netbook measures 0.6-inches thin and weighs 1.6 pounds. It’s really thin! And light! The Atom based, ultra-light and ultra-thin laptop is equipped with a 10.6-inch screen with 1208×768 resolution, 1GB RAM, 64GB SSD, USB slots, Ethernet ports, SD card reader. Under the hood is a low power Intel Atom Z540 (1.84GHz) processor and battery life is 4.7 hours on standard battery.
Fujitsu’s red mini laptop M2010 is a 10.1-inch Windows XP netbook, the laptop features a 1.6GHZ Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a 160GB HDD and 945GSE chipset. It also comes with Bluetooth, 802.11b/g wireless and an webcam and a one-year limited warranty.
