MSI Wind L2100

                      MSI Wind L2100 (L2100-036US) netbook

MSI has quietly introduced an updated version of the company’s MSI Wind series of 12.1 inch mini laptops, its differs from the recent MSI Wind U210 for its operating system, Windows 7 Home Premium. The MSI Wind L2100 (L2100-036US) netbook has an 12.1-inch display with resolution of 1366 x 768 pixel, believe it or not, the 10 inchers will have to drop substantially, I think it is so worth it for a 12 incher. This new AMD Athlon Neo-powered laptop comes with a 1.6GHz AMD Neo MV-40 processor, 2GB RAM, 250GB HDD, ATI Radeon X1250 graphics, 802.11n Wi-Fi, 3 USb ports, a 4-in-1 card reader, 1.3MP webcam and 6-cell battery. The dimensions for the MSI Wind L2100 are 11.7″ x 7.5″ x 1.2″, depending on the used battery weighs 3.2 pounds. Well, it’s now on sale at Newegg.com for $429.99. It sounds like a good deal. I like to support competition and save money. It seems one can both with this one.

Lenevo FL5-B3 netbook

Lenevo’s Intel Atom N450 netbook Leaked Photos

Lenevo’s FL5-B3 netbook is an interesting Intel Atom N450 powered mini laptop, based on Intel’s new PineView processor according to a new listing over at the FCC, the Pineview platform is far superior to the Atom + Intel GMA’s, it uses an integrated GMA 500 chip. I believe that they will be very similar performance wise to the Z530 series, however they will have major reductions in power requirements meaning much longer battery life. But don’t forget however that these processor are more expensive so you will pay a small premium for the privilege. We can expect the new 10.1-inch, 1024 x 600 machine to have 802.11n Wi-Fi, 2GB of RAM and 250GB(5,400 RPM)of storage. You can probably expect this out in Q1 2010. It might even make an appearance at CES 2010.
