ASUS has began offering its UL20A-A1 Thin and Light 12.1-Inch Silver Laptop in the US and Liliputing is reporting that the new Asus’s mini laptop is now available for pre-order at Amazon US for $581. Current laptop is the Dell XPS M1330, a 13.3 inch laptop which seemed very cool, but even that started to feel big and heavy so when this one came out – the Asus UL20A is equipped with a 12.1 inch display, a dual core 1.3GHz Intel SU7300 CULV processor, integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics, there were rumors that it is capable of playing 1080p video and HD Flash video. The weight of Asus UL20A is 4.2 pounds with dimension 11.9 x 9.2 x 1.2 inches.

Asus originally wanted to release their 11.6″ Eee PC 1101HA together with Windows Vista OS and minimum specification. But thanks to the Windows 7 debut, Asus has issued a few minor updates to its Eee PC series line of mini laptops. The Asus Eee PC 1101HA-WP is the first Eee PC series with a Windows 7 Home Premium edition OS. The 11.1″mini-laptop has the exact same specs as the older model, the 1101HA. It comes with a 11.6-inch widescreen LCD display (1366×768 pixel) WXGA resolution, an Intel Atom Z520 processor, an Intel GMA 500 graphics chipset, 2GB RAM, a 250GB hard drive, 3x USB 2.0 ports, wifi 802.11 b/g/n, ethernet port, mini D-Sub 15pin, 3.0M pixel webcam, SD card/SDHC/MMC slot and bluetooth v2.1+EDR. The rechargeable battery that will provide up to 8-hours of operating time. Dimensions of Asus Eee PC 1101HA-WP are 286×196×21.8~36.2 mm and weight is about 1.38-kg. The 1101HA-WP is expected to debut in Japan on late November in black or white colors for $610.

ASUS EeePC 1101HA Mini Laptop Deals and Specs

ASUS Eee PC 1201N: ION-powered mini laptop for pre-order: Guess what? The ASUS Eee PC 1201N netbook is already on sale in Italy and now, it’s also available for pre-order in the US. First of all, this mini laptop is the first Nvidia Ion powered Eee PC from Asus. Specifications of the 1201N include: a dual-core 1.6GHz Atom 330 processor, ION graphics, a 12.1-inch (1366×768) LED backlit LCD, 2GB of DDR2 Ram, a 250GB hard drive, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth and runs Windows 7 Home Premium. This actually has much better specs than most netbooks. I just hope the battery life is still good by netbook standards; if so, this will be one of the first good decently powerful netbooks out there while still retaining netbook battery and portability. It can be found in the Excaliber PC with price for $499.
