Good news for fans of Intel processor, Intel’s new Pine Trail platform will be your new Christmas gift! There were rumors that we would see an Acer’s first Pine Trail mini laptop called the Acer Aspire One 532. The rumored tech specs so far include an Atom N450 processor with Intel GMA 3150 graphics, a 10.1 inch LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720, 1GB of RAM and 160GB / 250GB HDD. Ports and connectivity: a 5-in-1 card reader, a 0.3 megapixel web camera, 3x USB 2.0 ports and VGA out. This great little machine can play HD movie smoothly, that is enough for most. The Acer Aspire One 532 will be available in blue, silver, red, and black, and will start at 300 Euros (about US $450) reportedly. There’s no information on when we will see the Aspire One 532 in the US.

If you are looking for a Smart car version of a netbook then check out the Acer Ferrari One 11.6 inch laptop. This is a mini laptop with a small car theme on it. And for now, you can pre-order the Ferrari One netbook from Amazon.com, just for $599.99. Although it is already available in Japan. Acer announced three new convertible tablets, the Acer Aspire 1420P, 1820PT and 1820PTZ, all with Windows 7 Home Premium installed and 11.6 inch multi-touch display. The 1420P is the low-end model and the 1820PT is the high-end model.

The 1820PTZ (dual core model), combined with GMA 4500MHD graphics, minimum 6 hours battery and a good price (about $863 US) is the dream machine mini laptop. The 11.6-inch HD LED-backlit LCD can be swivelled around and folded back down allowing you to use pen input. It is powered by Intel Pentium SU4100 1.3GHz Dual Core processor with Ultra-low voltage (ULV) technology.
