Here comes a nice mini laptop for the kids, although this is a basic computer. Here we go, SMQ’s new cheap netbook– the 4012 Aviation Book selling for a dirt cheap price of $120. The whole unit measures 9.3 x 6.5 x 0.8 inches and weighs just 0.65kg, it has a 7-inch display with a screen resolution of 800×480 pixels. I think these 7″ to 8″ models are really made for kids’ hands. The price is good for what it does, it comes preloaded with the Windows CE OS and has a 400MHz VIA VT8500 processor, 128MB of RAM, a 2GB of storage space and a Li-Ion battery (1800 mAh). You can also find a microSD slot, Wi-Fi connectivity, 3x USB 2.0 and a VGA. Chassis colour options include white, pink and black.
You know that Fujitsu doesn’t make inexpensive mini laptops . Now the company plans to launch a Pine Trail-powered netbook called LifeBook MH380. It will be the companies first netbook to feature Intel’s new Pine Trail platform. The LifeBook MH380 has a starting weight of just 1.3 kg and sports Intel’s latest Atom N450 1.66GHz processor, up to 2GB of RAM, a 250 GB SATA HDD, a card reader, a 1.3 MP web camera, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1 and Windows 7 Starter. You will like the resolution too – it will come with a 10.1-inch HD (1366 x 768) display, it allows for 720p as opposed to the typical 1280 x 600. The netbook will be available in a range of three colors, including Gorgeous Brown, Ivory White and Black Diamond and it looks like they may retail for around $450.

Bestbuy has recently put up a listing for the Asus Eee pc 1201HAB. This is one of the best netbook I checked out at bestbuy and I’d have to say I’m impressed with the 12-inch mini laptop. As you can see by the image this is one of those netbook that isn’t too small or too big like a laptop. You will love the display, the resolution is large for a netbook, at 1366×768. Clear and clean. Just big enough to view all of your web-pages, but it doesn’t really increase the size or weight of the netbook, aside from its new display, is a 1.33GHz single-core Atom Z520 CPU, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, built-in Ethernet port, Wi-Fi, 6-Cell Battery and Windows XP Home. The chiclet keyboard is a very nice size, with just the right weight and feel. Unfortunately, the Eee PC 1201HAB does not have the Intel GMA 950 with 224MB RAM as stated in the specifications list. It has the Intel GMA 500. All in all, Bestbuy has priced this 12.1 inch netbook at $329.99 with free shipping.
