ASUS Eee PC 1001P

Asus has introduced their Pine Trail-powered netbook, namely the ASUS Eee PC 1001P. Until now, very little information about this mini laptop, but we can tell is that the 1001P will most likely be a budget model. In fact, too many models just confuses everyone and ASUS already announced the Eee PC 1005P and 1005PE Pineview netbooks Series. As we know is that it will come with a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, 160GB/250GB HDD, 1GB RAM, Intel GMA 3150 graphics card, a 10.1-inch (1024 x 600) display and weigh 1.1kg. It will be shipped with Windows XP Home Edition OS. Unfortunately, pricing and availability of the Asus Eee PC 1001P are still unknown.

Point of View Mobii ION 230

We’ve been hearing about the Point of View Mobii ION 230 netbook for months, and now Mobii ION 230 details are out on the net. This is the mini laptop I have been dreaming of and waiting to come out. These were the particular features:Powerful NVIDIA ION chipset and HDMI/HD playback. Other features on Mobii ION 230 include an Intel Atom N230 CPU, 1GB of RAM and a 160GB hard drive, GeForce 9400M graphics chip. Ports: HDMI output, Headphone, microphone ports and two USB ports. Looks like ION will make light gaming a reality (Quake 3, Warcraft 3, WOW, ETC), but 1024 x 600 does not cut it, this needs to be higher. One of my friends just got the Dell Mini 10 with the 1366X768 screen and it is perfect! I would love to be able to use the Mobii ION 230 as a media player, wouldn’t you?
