Now seems that Toshiba’s new netbook machine has been spotted at FCC, codenamed Toshiba NB300 mini laptop. So what’s new? The Toshiba NB300 is powered by Qualcomm’s Gobi2000 chipset that supports 3G bands, including WCDMA/HSPA, EVDO, as well as EDGE and CDMA2000. In addition, it also has a 10.1-inch display and a GPS module. There were rumors that we would see this Toshiba NB300 come with the new Intel platform Pine Trail and the new Intel Pineview N450. There’s no information on the other specs. In the coming year 2010, we will see more Pineview-powered netbook coming through the FCC.
ViewSonic, a company known for their display, brings the world another windows 7 mini laptop, that called ViewSonic VNB102. The device will be ViewSonic’s first netbook, the processor that will drive this netbook is going to be the Intel Atom N270. You can also check out detail specs in the ViewSonic official site. Inside it’s packing a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, a 160GB hard drive, a 10-inch screen and up to 6 hours of battery life. Unfortunately, the system packs only 1 GB of RAM. On top of that, this sweet netbook will come loaded with Windows 7 starter edition. The ViewSonic VNB102 netbook will be available on December 18th for only $399.
ViewSonic Americas VP and general manager Jeff Volpe had this to say about the ViewSonic VNB102:“We are pleased to offer a range of mobile products that take digital experiences on the road,” “With the addition of the VNB102 ViewBook, we are confident that we have the right solution for our customers, whether it’s an all-in-one PC or PC Mini for at home computing, or an ultra-portable netbook for mobile computing needs.”

CherryPal says, “everyone who has tried it has absolutely loved it!”It looks like CherryPal is preparing to launch a cheapest mini laptop called Cherrypal Africa, with a price tag of just $99. Unfortunately, specs and capabilities are slim. It has a 400 MHz CPU which is commonly used by smart phones, a 7-inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480, 256 MB of RAM, 2 GB of flash-based storage and will come with either Linux or Windows CE installed. The device’s lithium battery is good for four hours. This is a cool product for the right buyer. I don’t think that 7 inch is that bad. You know, many pricier smartbooks come with similar screen sizes.
