It’s official, Lenovo will release two new notebooks from its ThinkPad W Series 17-inch mobile workstations – the new Lenovo ThinkPad W701 and dual-screen W701ds. The ThinkPad W701 comes with a 17-inch HD widescreen display while the ThinkPad W701ds offers dual screens, a standard 17″ display as well as a smaller 10.6″ display. Both notebooks bring the latest Intel Core i7 processors, the NVIDIA Quadro FX 2800M and 3800M professional video cards, up to 16GB DDR3 RAM, 500GB hard drive, 256GB of SSD, Windows 7 and DVD burner. All models also include 2MP webcam, wireless, Bluetooth, fingerprint reader, card reader, and 5 x USB ports. The ThinkPad W Series W701 and W701ds will be launched in February 2010 for $2,000.

Dell has announced that the Dell Inspiron Mini 10 mini laptop will be updated with Intel Atom Pine Trail N450 processor a month ago, but now Dell release a new netbook which also one of the Inspiron Series with 4G WiMAX. WiMax does mean the computer will be able to keep up with the speeds that WiMax can offer. The new Dell Inspiron Mini 10 is reported to sport an Intel Atom processor, a 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, Integrated Intel graphics, up to 2GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, 1.3MP webcam, Bluetooth, card reader, three USB ports, HDMI, a 3 cell, 28WHr battery and Windows 7 Starter edition. The Inspiron Mini 10 has a starting price of $279.

Pioneer Computers, an Australian company have just announced that they’re jumping the Pine Trail bandwagon by officially unveiling their new Pioneer DreamBook Lite M81 netbook. This new mini laptop is built on Intel’s latest Pine Trail processor, 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 CPU as well as Microsoft Windows 7 Starter Edition.  Features a 10.1-inch display with resolution of 1024×600 pixels, up to 2GB of RAM, a 2.5-inch 160GB SATA HDD, a 3.75G module, GMA 3150 graphics, 1.3-megapixel webcam, Bluetooth, stereo speakers, Wireless LAN 802.11b/g/n, a 7-in-1 card reader, two USB 2.0 ports and D-Sub port. It has weight is only 2.65 pounds. The price is about $356 US.
