You will very impress with this netbook, the ASUS Eee PC 1004DN mini laptop is the first netbook with a built in optical drive and it’s also so far the only netbook to use the Intel GN40 chipset. This may be called a mini, but with the CD/DVD burner, it is larger than other mini’s. It is powered by 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280, 1GB RAM and a 120GB 1.8-inch hard drive that uses a ZIF interface. Other main features are including a finger print scanner for biometric securtiy, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR, a 1.3Megapixel webcam, an ExpressCard 34 slot, a multi-touch touchpad and three USB 2.0 ports. It also has a 10.2-inch display with 1,024×600 resoluton and a 6 cell battery and weighs about 3.2 pounds. The Eee PC 1004DN is now available in Taiwan for NT$19,988, about $609 US.
