Acer has announced a new generation of Acer mini laptops based on Intel’s new Atom N550 dual core processor. The Acer Aspire One D255 will be Acer’s first netbook to feature 1.5GHz Intel Atom N550 processor (512KB of L2 cache). Other details include a 10.1-inch CrystalBrite LED-backlit display with resolution of 1024×600 pixel, an Intel GMA 3150 integrated graphics, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, up to 250GB hard drive, Bluetooth, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, and a 6-cell battery.

Acer has rolled out their TimelineX line of thin and light mini laptops in US. The newest Acer PCs are the Acer Aspire Timeline 1830T, 13.3-inch 3820T, 14-inch 4820T and 15.6-inch 5820T. The Acer Aspire Timeline 1830T wannabe ultra-thin laptop that is powered by an Intel Core i5-520UM ULV (ultra low voltage) processor with Intel Turbo Boost, 4GB of DDR3 memory and runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. The price is about $700.
