Acer is starting sale its Chromebook in US market, known as Acer AC700-1099 (WiFi), the company’s first mini laptop runs on Google Chrome OS. It is a 11.6-inch netbook with a 1366 x 768 LED backlit display and is powered by a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N570 dual-core processor, an Intel GMA 3150 graphics card, a 16GB solid state drive (SSD) and 2GB of DDR3 RAM. Other specs of the Acer Wi-Fi Chromebook includes a 1.3MP HD webcam, two built-in speakers, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, a memory card slot, a full size keyboard and HDMI port. It runs on Chrome OS only. You can’t load Windows or Mac based programs. The 3G version will be available in summer.
