Asus has confirmed that their newest ASUS U31SD, U31E, and U36SD laptops will start shipping in late May. The three laptops are based on Intel Sandy Bridge platform. The ASUS U31SD will come equipped with either a Core i5-2410M or Core i3-2310M, up to 8GB DDR3 RAM, a choice of Intel integrated graphics or a 1GB GeForce GT 520M card, and up to 10 hours of battery life with its optional 8-cell battery. Weighing 3.92 lbs, the notebook also supports HDMI and VGA-out.

Asus’s just announced its newest addition to the U36 series laptop lineup, the Asus U36S. The latest ultra-thin laptop packs the just announced 2nd-generation Intel Core processor. We have nothing in terms of price. What we can tell you is that the Intel Sandy Bridge laptop will have a 13.3-inch 1366 x 768 glossy display, dual-channel DDR3 memory controller, up to 750GB hard drive, USB 3.0 port, a multi-card reader, a fingerprint reader, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi, a chiclet keyboard, a multi-gesture touchpad, a HDMI output, and a 4- or 8-cell battery. The thickness of the new Asus U36S is about 19 mm and weight is 1.9 kg.

ASUS has launched a new multimedia laptop called the ASUS K53B. It is a 15.6-inch AMD-based laptop with a 1366 x 768 LED-backlit display and can be configured with either a 1.6GHz AMD E-350 dual-core Zacate APU or 1GHz AMD C-50 dual-core processor. Other tech specs include an AMD Radeon HD 6470M 512MB/1GB graphics card, up to 8GB DDR3 RAM, up to 750GB 7200 rpm hard drive, a Blu-ray drive, WiFi, Bluetooth, 10/100 MB ethernet Lan Port, a 6-cell battery and runs on Windows 7 OS. The company did not give out pricing.
