BenQ Joybook S35  mini laptops

The Joybook S35 is a new mini laptop from BenQ, powered by Intel’s Consumer Ultra Low Voltage (CULV) processor and choices include a 1.4GHz single core Core 2 Solo, 1.3GHz Core 2 Duo SU7300, 1.2GHz Celeron 723 or 1.3GHz Celeron 743 chips. This one gets a 13.3-inch LCD display with 1366×768 resolution and has a weigh of 3.5 pounds. The CULV mini laptop base configuration includes an integrated Intel GMA4500M graphics, USB 2.0 ports for portable devices, an HDMI out, a webcam, Bluetooth, .Wi-Fi, an eSATA high-speed data transfer connection, and an optional 500GB HDD. The S35 extra-long battery life could stand up 11 hours using its 8-cell battery or 5.5 hours with the standard 4-cell battery version.

Taiwanese consumer electronics maker BenQ announced plans to launch a mini laptop running on Google’s Android operating system next year. Android is a smartphone operating system developed by Google and Mini laptops with Android from several other companies have been seen at Computex. But Acer displayed a version of its Aspire One netbook with an Intel Atom microprocessor that also ran Android. Acer plans to ship that device in the third quarter.
