Lenovo Mini Laptops – Lenovo IdeaPad U1 Hybrid pictures

 Lenovo IdeaPad U1 hybrid Finally, Lenovo has published new Qualcomm Snapdragon-based capacitive touchscreen tablet at its product page, known as Lenovo IdeaPad U1 Hybrid. This official product page is complete with press release and pictures.

According to Lenovo’s recent press release:

The IdeaPad U1’s unique design is engineered to provide consumers with two PCs in one device – each with its own processor and operating system – that work together and independently as either a clamshell laptop or a multitouch slate tablet.

“The IdeaPad U1 hybrid notebook is a game-changing technology in the PC industry that lets user switch their PC experience within a single device to match their dynamic lifestyle,” said Liu Jun, senior vice president, Idea Product Group, Lenovo. “By fusing the functionality of a notebook with the slate tablet’s rich multitouch entertainment and mobile Internet experience, U1 provides consumers the freedom to choose the device they prefer for any activity.”

About the hardware specs: a 11.6-inch display with multitouch support, an Intel CULV Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB of RAM, Intel GMA graphic card, and 128GB SSD in notebook mode or an ARM-based Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 512MB of RAM and 16GB of SSD in tablet mode, 2 USB ports, eSATA, VGA, HDMI, 4-in-1 card reader, and a 1.3MP webcam.

Lenovo ThinkPad W701

Lenovo brought their new 17-inches mobile workstation ‘ThinkPad W701′ for $3,299 and you can find it on company product posting right now. It packed the NVIDIA Quadro FX 2800 graphics card inside and uses an Intel Core i7-720QM 2.8GHz processor. Here are the specifications, taken from Lenovo’s online store: a 17-inch WXGA LED-backlit display, Intel Core i7-720QM Processor (2.80GHz 6MBL3 1333MHz), 2 GB PC3-8500 DDR, 320GB Hard Disk Drive, 5400rpm, a 9 cell Li-Ion Battery and a DVD drive. It is also running Windows 7 Professional 64.

Remember the Lenovo Skylight Smartbook we told you about? Well, Laptop Magazine now reports that the company’s first smartbook will be out for sale in June. It is rumoured to be powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon chipset with a 10.1-inch display (1,280 x 720), integrated GPS, WiFi, a battery life of around 10 hours, a 1.3MP webcam and 20GB Flash storage.
