NEC ShieldPRO N22G Rugged Mini Laptop

The Japanese Company, NEC, one of the famous laptop and netbook manufacturer has revealed a new product named NEC ShieldPRO N22G rugged laptop. The NEC ShieldPRO N22G is a 12.1-inch NEC Mini Laptop with a 1024×600 back-lit LCD touchscreen display and is powered by a 1.33GHz Intel Core i7-660UE dual-core processor, up to 160GB hard drive, an optional 32GB SSD and 4GB of RAM. Other specs of the ShieldPRO N22G includes three USB ports, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, an SD card/Memory Stick Duo card slots and a battery providing 12 hours life. It measures 290 x 255 x 47mm and weighs in at just 2.7kg. Pricing info is still unavailable so far.

NEC LifeTouch Note Mini Laptop Coming Soon

NEC has announced a new mini laptop which is known as NEC LifeTouch Note in Japan, which runs on Goole’s Android 2.2 operating system. The new NEC mini laptop packs an 7-inch 800 x 480 touch panel display, NVIDIA Tegra 250 mobile processor. Along with 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, USB 2.0, two megapixel camera, SDHC card reader, headphone jack, QWERTY keyboard and Li-ion battery. This notebook will become available in Japan for price tag $480 (4GB internal memory), $540 (8GB + WiFi) and $660 (8GB + 3G).

According to PC World, NEC will introduce its LifeTouch Tablet PC, the newest addition to the tablet line, at CES in January. Designed for businesses, the new NEC LifeTouch Tablet is a dual-screen version of the company’s Android tablet that features a pair of 7-inch 800 x 480 touchscreen display and runs on Google Android operating system. The computer will also pack Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity. As expected full details are thin on the ground at the moment but hopefully more specific information will become available in CES 2011 next month.

NEC has unveiled two new models of its LaVie Light series laptop that called the NEC Lavie Light BL550/CS and the NEC Lavie Light BL350/CW. The first model, the 10.1-inch NEC Lavie Light BL550/CS comes with Intel’s Atom N550 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, integrated graphics, 10/100 LAN, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, WiMAX, an SDXC-compatible card slot, and 3x USB 2.0 ports, while the second model, the NEC Lavie Light BL350/CW packs a 1.83GHz Intel Atom N475 processor, integrated graphics, 1GB of memory, 250GB hard drive, and runs Windows 7 Starter OS. The NEC Lavie Light BL550/CS sells for $1,010 with Windows 7 Home Premium OS.

If you’re a NEC lover then here’s a good news for you: NEC just announced that their NEC LaVie S laptop is going to launch soon with a 1.86 GHz Celeron P4500, a 2.26 GHz Core i3-350M, or 2.26 GHz Core i5-430M processor powered by Intel’s Next Gen Calpella platform. The 15.6-inch NEC LaVie S comes with a 15.6-inch (1366×768) LED-backlit display and Intel integrated graphics. Other specs of the NEC LaVie S includes 10/100 Ethernet, Wi-Fi b/g/n, a DVD writer, and three USB 2.0 ports. It is preinstalled Windows 7 Home Premium OS. The price is arround $1080 and available in white, red and black when it launches in April 2010.

NEC LaVie Light series Intel Pine Trail mini laptop: NEC, a Japanese PC manufacturer, has expanded its netbook lineup with NEC LaVie Light series, which is based on Intel Pine Trail platform. According to NEC, the new LaVie Light netbook boasts on GMA3150 integrated graphics and Atom N450 processor, the higher end BL530/WH6B is powered by 2GB RAM, 320GB disk, Windows 7 Home Premium and 6-cell battery with 7.6 hours lifetime. Features a 10.1-inch display with a 1366 x 768 resolution. The lower end BR340/WD is powered by 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive and Windows 7 Starter. Features a 10.1-inch display with a 1024 x 600 resolution. There’s no info on pricing and availability.

And light! The Atom based, ultra-light and ultra-thin laptop is equipped with a 10.6-inch screen with 1208×768 resolution, 1GB RAM, 64GB SSD, USB slots, Ethernet ports, SD card reader. Under the hood is a low power Intel Atom Z540 (1.84GHz) processor and battery life is 4.7 hours on standard battery.

NEC has announced its new NEC LaVie Light series mini laptops which named as BL300, including the BL350, BL310 and BL300 models, which are completely redesigned and come with Windows XP pre-installed and the BL310 model will include also Microsoft Office 2007. The BL300 series features a 10.1-inch 1024×600 LCD dsplay, an Atom N280 (1.66GHz CPU) with an option of 160GB HDD or a 16GB SSD, 1GB RAM, a webcam, Wifi and Bluetooth. The main

difference between the models is the BL350 boasts of 7.4 hours battery life while the BL300/310 boasts 4.2 hours. The BL350 weighs 1.32kg and BL310/BL300 weigh 1.14kg.

NEC announced a new CULV (Consumer Ultra-Low Voltage) notebook -NEC LaVie M mini laptop built on the energy efficient Intel CULV platform, which is the bit saves power and makes everyone feel better with themselves. The laptop uses CULV Celeron SU2300 processor that runs at a clock speed of 1.2GHz. The NEC LaVie M has a 13.3-inch 1366 x 768 display, up to 4GB RAM, a 320GB hard drive and equipped with WiFi, Bluetooth, an HDMI port, weighs 1.59kg and a
