Panasonic has announced that the Toughbook CF-19 rugged convertible laptop will be updated with Intel Sandy Bridge-flavored Huron River platform. It packs a 10.1-inch LCD screen, a 2.5 GHz Core i5-2520M processor, Intel HD 3000 graphics, 4GB of RAM, up to 500GB hard disk drive or a 128/256GB SSD, 3G, WLAN and Bluetooth connectivity. It is said to have 9 hours of battery life. This 10.1" model will retail for €2,950.

Panasonic has launched its semi-rugged notebook called the Panasonic Toughbook 53. The Panasonic Toughbook 53 Semi-Rugged notebook is based on the latest Sandy Bridge Intel Core processor (2.1 GHz Intel Core i3 or 2.5GHz Core i5-2520M). Other specs of the Toughbook 53 includes a 14-inch LED-backlit display, up to 8GB of RAM, an optional 128GB SSD, and supports 4G LTE wireless broadband. Weighing 5.6 pounds, the notebook also supports a larger touchpad, 1.3 megapixel webcam, SDXC card slot, a PC Card slot, Smartcard reader, fingerprint reader, VGA, HDMI outputs, two USB 2.0 ports and one USB 3.0 port. The battery life – 10 hours is definitely amazing.
