General Dynamics Itronix has launched a new UMPC called the GD2000. It is a 5.6-inch Mini Laptop with a 1024×600 LED WSVGA outdoor viewable DynaVue display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Intel Celeron Ultra Low Voltage Core Solo processor, 64 GB 1.8” SATA Solid State Drive (SSD)/128 GB 1.8” SATA SSD (optional) and 2GB DDR3 RAM. Other specs of the General Dynamics Itronix GD2000 includes a backlit keyboard, 4 USB 2.0 ports, 3.5 mm stereo headset audio jack, Ethernet port, Bluetooth v 2.1, 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi, and runs on Windows 7 OS. Finally! A Windows 7-loaded UMPC. Ocosmos is going to release soon a new UMPC computer that has 1.5GHz or 1.9GHz single-core processor inside called the Ocosmos OCS1 UMPC. Electronista reports that the Ocosmos OCS1 is powered by Intel’s Oak Trail platform and runs on Windows 7 OS. Along with a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, 3 megapixel rear camera, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) 3G, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and a micro-HDMI support. The new UMPC will go on sale in Q1 of 2011.

Onkyo has a brand new UMPC for us, the Onkyo BX 407A4 which is basically a re-branded UMID M2, it definitely shares the same design as the M2! Features and specifications of this UMPC include an Intel Atom Z515 1.2GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 32GB SSD, and 4.8-inch (1024 x 600 LCD). This mini laptop will be available for $730 with Windows XP.
