Asus has just released a cheap/budget mini laptop – the Asus Eee PC 1000HT netbook in Japan. The ASUS Eee PC 1000HT netbook is pretty similar to the Asus Eee PC 1000HE which was released well over a year ago, but it different in specs.
The Eee PC 1000HT is powered by an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor and sports a10.1-inch LCD display with 1024×600 pixels resolution, a Mobile Intel 945GSE Express Chipset, 1GB RAM, a 160GB hard drive+ 10GB Web Storage, 0.3MP webcam, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, 10/100 LAN, Intel HD Audio with Stereo Speakers, 3 USB 2.0 ports, D-Sub, Ethernet, Windows XP Home OS and a 6-cell battery that can last up to 6.4 hours. The ASUS Eee PC 1000HT is available in two colors including Pearl white and Fine Ebony. The ASUS Eee PC 1000HT will start shipping in Japan on 17 October 2009 with a price begin from 37,800 Yen or about $421.
