Gigabyte is the latest company to release Windows 7 versions of its T1028X/M1022 mini laptops in Japan. According to Gigabyte Japan, the Gigabyte T1028X touchscreen netbook features a 1366 x 768 touchscreen display, 1 GB of RAM, a 250 GB HDD, and a 6-cell battery and a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 CPU. The machine will run Windows 7 Starter Edition. It’ll sell for about $800. The other Windows 7 mini laptop is the Gigabyte Booktop M1022 which features a 10.1-inch display of the same resolution, 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 250GB hard drive, and 6 cell, 7800mAh battery, GMA 950 graphics chipset. It’ll sell for about $740 in Japan.
