HP has announced an updated version of its EliteBook mobile workstation that comes with the Quadro FX 5000M. The HP EliteBook 8740W is a new 17-inch laptop powered by a Intel Core i5 CPU upgradeable to an Intel Core i7. It also has a 17 inch LED backlit Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, up to 16GB of RAM, 7,200rpm 320GB hard drive and the NVIDIA Quadro FX5000M is a powerful GPU that has 320 cores and 2GB of memory all assigned to the GPU.
