According to Sharp, the Sharp NetWalker PC-Z1 is one of the tiny touchscreen smartbook that is in between a smartphone and a netbook. Personally I think this kind of thing is really on the right track. I like netbooks but I long for something that I can get netbook functionality with that fits in a a large pocket. The Netwalker measures about 16 x 11 x 2.5 cm and weighs 400 grams. This mini laptop has just an 800MHz Freescale i.MX515 CPU (based on ARM Cortex-A8
architecture), a 5 inch display, full QWERTY keyboard and comes with 512MB of memory, 10 hour battery life and runs Linux. It will go on sale in Japan for about 44,800 Japanese Yen, around $480.
