The new Intel Cedar Trail netbook from Asus is called the Eee PC X101CH 10.1-inch (1024 x 600) display which is powered by a 32nm 1.6GHz Intel Atom N2600 dual-core processor. The new mini laptop also packs an Intel GMA 5600 integrated graphics, a 1GB DDR3 RAM, a 320GB hard drive, a webcam, a card reader, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 3.0 (optional), a 4-cell battery and runs on Windows 7 Starter OS. Acer has priced this 10.6 inch netbook at around $331.
Asus’ upcoming 13.3-inch mini laptop with AMD platform, namely Asus U32U. The Asus U32U is powered by a 1.65GHz AMD E-450 dual core processor, Radeon HD 6320 graphics, 2GB of RAM, and a 320GB hard drive. Along with a 13.3-inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, USB 3.0, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, and HDMI port. It will also come with a 5600mAh battery that should last for 12 hours. The Asus U32U-RX011R/D will be available at the price tag of $449.
Asus has announced the Asus U24E laptop in Japan, featuring the second generation Intel Core i5-2430M processor, which is clocked at 2.40GHz and has an Intel HD 3000 graphics card. The new Asus U24E is a 11.6-inch Asus mini laptop with a 1366 x 768 LED display, 750GB hard drive and 4GB of DDR3 RAM. Other specs of the Asus U24E includes a 0.3MP web camera, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, two USB 3.0 ports, D-Sub and HDMI output, and up to 6.8 hour of battery life. It is preloaded Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system. Cost of Asus U24E laptop is around $550.
