Toshiba’s new touch-screen model, Satellite U500 mini laptop is expected to begin shipping on November 1. As you may already know, “Toshiba announces touchscreen notebooks, netbooks for Windows 7 launch”. Awesome. Integrated touchscreens are getting cheaper and I can’t wait to see some benchmarks. The Satellite U505 is a 13.3-inch, 5 lb device with an MSRP of $1,049.99, the U505 boasts of some standard notebook features such as 5-in-1 Memory Card Reader, an eSATA/USB combo port and a 6-cell battery. What’s more it will also has an Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 2.2GHz processor, 4GB of DDR2 RAM, a 500GB hard drive and Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics. The new touch-screen model is available in four color: Luxe Red, White, Pink and Brown.
